Senior Ruby on Rails Developer -- Lead Architect

In this role you will report directly to 42 Friends founder, Keith Schacht, who is an experienced entrepreneur and software developer. You will work closely with Keith on a daily basis to quickly bring new ideas to fruition. Your architecture decisions will ensure our applications continue to scale--your prior experience scaling rails will be invaluable. And with your ability to learn new environments quickly you will lead the effort to extend these applications to new platforms on new social networks. For the right experienced Ruby on Rails developer, this will be a very stimulating position!

Requirements
* Prior experience scaling Ruby on Rails applications to millions of pageviews
* Minimum 5 years professional software development
* Previous experience hiring and managing other developers
* Great interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong preference given to candidates located in Chicago
Compensation will be commensurate with experience including possible equity options.
